Where Are The Conservative College Students

Where Are The Conservative College Students? by: Naomi Nishihara on June 09, 2017 | 0 Comments Comments 2,693 Views June 9, 2017Campus conservatives: They exist. You just need to know where to lookUC-Berkeley has long been known as a hotbed of liberal politics and more recently the epicenter  of the Free Speech Movement has become a theater of protest violence in the Trump era. But these days, its not just Berkeley anymore. Colleges everywhere are making headlines for hyper-liberal student protests. Some might say the phenomena began with UC Berkeley in February 2017, when right-wing writer Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak on campus. A peaceful student protest erupted, ultimately inflicting $100,000 in damage to the campus. And then at  Middlebury College in March 2017, student protesters shut down a talk by Charles Murray, author of The Bell Curve, preventing him from speaking, and injuring the Middlebury professor who was with him.WHERE ARE THE COLLEGE-AGED CONSERVAT IVES?Over and over again, this pattern has repeated itself. In April, demonstrators at Claremont McKenna College disrupted a speech by pro-police author Heather MacDonald. More recently, Bethune-Cookman University students booed, and walked out during Betsy DeVos’ commencement speech. So where in a sea of liberal-learning universities are the college-aged conservatives? There probably aren’t too many at the schools mentioned above. But every year The Princeton Review compiles a list of the universities with the most conservative students, based on student surveys.  PoetsQuants has compiled the most recent Princeton Review lists below.Ranking The ‘Most Conservative Students’ From 2017-2014.tftable {font-size:12px;color:#333333;width:100%;border-width: 1px;border-color: #729ea5;border-collapse: collapse;} .tftable th {font-size:12px;background-color:#acc8cc;border-width: 1px;padding: 8px;border-style: solid;border-color: #729ea5;text-align:left;} .tftabl e tr {background-color:#d4e3e5;} .tftable td {font-size:12px;border-width: 1px;padding: 8px;border-style: solid;border-color: #729ea5;} .tftable tr:hover {background-color:#ffffff;}2017 Rank School2017 Rank2016 Rank2015 Rank2014 RankBrigham Young University15915Baylor University2152017Thomas Aquinas College3127University of Dallas4656College of the Ozarks5845Grove City College6233Hillsdale College73104Hampden-Sydney College81189United States Naval Academy991510United States  Air Force Academy10NRNR19United States Coast Guard Academy11NR1611Wheaton College (IL)12NR1414United States Military Academy137138Texas AM University College Station14412University of Louisiana at Lafayette15NRNRNRAngelo State University16NRNRNRWofford College171411NRBryant University18NRNRNRUniversity of Dayton19NRNRNRKansas State University20NR1918United States Merchant Marine AcademyNR10612Auburn UniversityNR1271Clemson UniversityNR131213Catholic University of AmericaNR16NR20University of Nebraska Lincol nNR17NRNROhio Northern UniversityNR18NRNRUniversity of North DakotaNR19NRNRUniversity of OklahomaNR20NRNRGordon CollegeNRNR17NRAngelo State UniversityNRNR1816Source: The Princeton ReviewDONT MISS UNIVERSITIES WITH THE MOST CONSERVATIVE STUDENTS (2010-2014)   Page 1 of 11
